What is the final clause of ISO9001:20015 – Quality Management Systems?

Clause 10 of ISO 9001:2015 is titled “Improvement”. This clause is concerned with ensuring that the organisation’s quality management system is continually improved to enhance its effectiveness and efficiency in achieving its objectives.

The clause includes three sub-clauses:

10.1: General outlines the requirements for the organisation to improve its quality management system and its processes through the use of data analysis, corrective actions, and continual improvement activities.

10.2: Nonconformity and corrective action requires the organisation to take corrective actions to address nonconformities identified in its quality management system, and to evaluate the effectiveness of those corrective actions.

10.3: Continual improvement requires the organisation to continually improve the effectiveness of its quality management system through the use of tools such as internal audits, management reviews, and data analysis. The organization should identify opportunities for improvement and implement appropriate actions to address them.

Overall, Clause 10 emphasises the importance of continual improvement in achieving and maintaining a high level of quality in the organisation’s products, services, and processes.
